LEVEL 5 MODULE
METRICS
What it is
METRICS make performance visible. Results and the KPIs to get them. Everything including Owner, Targets, and Scores.
The working library is the METRIC MATRIX — LIBRARY: 64 KPIs, and the only editing surface. Scores do not roll up; people read the bands — IDEAL / OK / ALERT / ALARM.
Its parts
- Owners. Every metric carries an Owner — its champion, the person who carries the number.
- Type. LIMIT — Drive It, or TARGET — Hit It. The Type tells the Owner how the number is to be run.
- Check-Ins. The rhythm at which the metric is read. At a check-in the band is read: IDEAL (green) · OK (pale green) · ALERT (yellow) · ALARM (blue) · Error (black). Base points run 0–4, +1 for the Action.
How it interacts
METRICS take the cascade's KPIs from ALIGNMENT and make them visible, team by team. A check-in that needs work raises an Action. When a metric hits ALARM, LEADERSHIP answers Code Blue.
See it & hear it
The KPI Types graphic — LIMIT (Drive It) / TARGET (Hit It) — is the graphic of record for this module. The METRICS podcast and animated video are in production; they will live on Watch & Listen.
Training
The module's training works from the METRIC MATRIX — LIBRARY: the 64 KPIs, their Owners, Types and Check-Ins — and from your own operation's numbers, measured from your real baselines.
Test / Audit
Knowledge in this module is confirmed by test and audit inside the training — the standard is demonstrated competency, not attendance.
Certification
The path is the same in every module: Learn — the module's documents, podcast and video. Test / Audit — the knowledge is confirmed. Real-world homework — applied on your own floor, the evidence brought back. Certified in the module.
Certification itself is earned inside a Coach Cams KPIs training engagement — that is what makes it worth having.
Real-world homework
Take one metric your team carries. Name its Owner, its Type, and its check-in rhythm, and read it against the IDEAL / OK / ALERT / ALARM bands for a week. Bring back the readings.
